Smurf It To Me

HAPPY FRIGGIN' NEW YEAR, H00RS!!!

Let's see, I'm in a new apartment (since early November), with a new job and a new boyfriend (dubbed BN5 by TwiKiwi50), so I am definitely feeling the new year these days!  How the Hell are all of you???  I've missed you so much!

So, as some of you know, BN5 is totally awesomesauce and very supportive of my Twi-habit, my friendships with all of you, this blog, ... you name it, he's probably supportive of it.  One day last week, I had a particularly trying day, and the next day BN5 showed up with a gift for me that was inspired by my last blog post.  You'll soon see what that gift was.

I've been wanting to get back to posting Thirsty Thursdays for awhile, and I hope this is the first in a long, regular line of new posts.  Just in case it isn't, please visit the archives!  And feel free to let me know if you have any requests - they can be e-mailed to me or left in the comments.

With that, let's see what those 'lets are up to!

"Hey, bro."

"Uh... who is that?"

"Huh?"

"Aaaaaah!!"

"Dude.  He's... blue!"

"I know, man. What the...?"

"Hey - do you think he saw us yet, or can we sneak away? I don't want to catch whatever he has that made him blue."

"I don't know, dude. I screamed kinda loudly."

"You sure did, you giant sissy."

"Hello there!"

"Ah, shit. Well, that answers that question."

"Pleased to meet you, I'm T.Edlet."

"Hi there, I'm Sweet Smurf! You can call me SweetS for short!"

"Yo. Edlet."

"Um.  Yo.?"

Naturally, in honor of our new addition, we'll be having a special drink today! 

OK, guys!  Everybody get ready for some ingredients!

"So, I didn't see any strawberry margarita mix in the fridge, but there was some smurfy blue mix!"

"Good lord."

"If I could palm my own face, I totally would."

2 cL vodka

(as it turns out, 1 cL = .34 oz or 1/10mL... in this case, almost 3/4 oz)

15 cL orange juice

(I'm using pineapple juice, as this post was a spur-of-the-moment decision and I don't have any OJ)

7 cL Sprite

2 dashes grenadine

Stir for 20 seconds

(seems like an arbitrary amount of time, but I dutifully counted to 20)

1/2 dash margarita mix, add ice cubes

"Hmm."

"Um... I thought it would be bluer."

"So did we."

Lack of blueness notwithstanding, this is delicious!  It's juicy, but not too sweet, not too boozy.  A very good, refreshing beverage.  I wish I'd had an umbrella to put in it, though - since I used pineapple juice, especially, it seemed somewhat tropical.  I'm confused as to how it got its name, but whatever.

 A total WIN!
