Because you need to. Oh. My. FUCK is this a funny movie. Now, I have to say, I don't usually like the "stupid parody" movies (like Epic Movie and Scary Movie and so forth), so I didn't think I'd like this one. But so many people I trust (read: you all) kept telling me how funny it was and how great this girl's TH had no interest in watching it, so I put it in while he was out tonight (um... that's what she said? If she was lonely, I guess...), and now I'm going to have to try to sell him on watching it, because I think even he would laugh like crazy. The girl, Jenn Proske, does a Kristen-Stewart-as-Bella-Swan impression so good it defies explanation. She even sounds like KStew at times, it's uncanny.

The level of detail, especially in regard to sets and locations, was fucking amazing. Some of the jokes were really obvious, of course, but they were so well done and they came so fast on top of each other (okay, THAT's what she said), that I didn't even have time to catch my breath most of the time. I present to you:
Exhibit AThere was also a running cat joke that had me losing my shit every time. It reminded me of the "Squirrel!" in Up, which is similarly reliably amusing.
This isn't the joke in the movie, but I love it just the same.Bottom line: go forth and rent this movie, if you haven't already seen it. I'd say go buy it, but a few of us encouraged i_heart_fifty (aka TwiKiwi) to go do just that and she got a flat tire coming back and had to wait for roadside assistance for quite awhile (and I still feel badly about it), so I'm no longer sure she'll say it was worth the trip (sorry, girl!). But I hope she likes it, just the same.
Have you seen this? What did you think???

I was supposed to see it with Living With Edward in the theaters but we just never got the time to get together. I still have not seen it. I will add it to my list.
Me too DD! I wanted to see it in the theatre, just never got around to it. Will rent one of these days... Thanks MB!
I agree with MB; you should rent this! It's utterly ridiculous and has even less of a plot than you think it does, but it's still pretty funny. I can't believe how spot they were on some of the bits. It's been awhile since I saw it at the theater, but I think there were some draggy parts here and there.
this might surprise you MB, but I've always loved the stupid parody movies.
We rented VS just last weekend laughed so hard.
The girl who played Becca nailed Kristen's mannerisms and looks and it was so funny to 'be in Twilight' but laughing at one thing after the next. I might have to buy it. I really did love it to pieces. I'm glad you thought it was just as funny!!!
LMAO - Sue is right. The only thing that occasionally bugged me is how they jumped ALL OVER the plots of the first two movies. But most of the time I was laughing too hard to care. Cat!
Blogger just ate my comment. Boo.
I loved this movie, when I eventually got to see it!
Your review is 100% spot on. Cat! Squirrel! haha.
Although the plot jumped around, I definitely laughed out loud, alot, in this movie.
And how good was Bella/Becca! Awesome.
W/v - deledz. If blogger deledz this comment too, I give up.
I need to see this again. It's been so long since I've seen it. I will defenitely buy this movie. And the girl who played Victoria is I'm pretty sure, the same girl who played Lexy in the Vampire Diaries.
@DD: I wish we could have gottent to see it together. Would have loved to watch it with you!
Haven't posted on here in a while...I got this for Christmas. I tried to watch New Years Evening with the Hubby and sister in law. SIL fell asleep, the man groaned the whole time. So I have seen only about a half hour in. I was chuckling the whole time. I have yet to put it back in and watch. I do agree the girl playing Becca did a fabulous Kristen/Bella. I don't know if anyone watches Vampire Diaries, but the girl who played Victoria in this was Stefan's friend in the 115 candles episode. I will have to put it in this afternoon before the boy gets home.
